Porn, Fame Whores, and Ghana Movies

I was casually just reading nollywood news when i read an article that stated "John Dumelo Fu*ked Nana Akua Addo in Hidden Passion". I saw the picture and i was taken aback.
The picture is shown after the break.

I am about fed up to my neck with the constant nudity that seems to be occurring more frequently in the latest Ghanaian movie. I read an article by NigeriaFilms stating how Ghanaian actresses were hotter than Nollywood actresses because they appreciate their beauty by playing provocative scenes in their movies.  Are they trying to suggest that people who engage in porn are now sexier than other women? Believe it or not, flaunting your body does not give others a good impression of yourself. How do you think Genevieve Nnaji, Uche Jombo, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, or Rita Dominic got themselves to where they are now. Even the controversial Tonto Dikeh, who played sexual scenes, Not once have i seen a nipple or an ass cheek.

Lets move into Ghallywood, even their respected actresses like Yvonne Okoro, Jackie Appiah, do not partake in this nonsense. Now i have seen Hollywood movies where they show sex scenes i still get irritated sometimes, but the nude scenes are tastefully done. Meaning, the actress is fit, precautions are taken, and these scenes are abosolutely necessary or are tied to the plot. On the other hand, in Ghana, there are this new actresses or fame whores who will do anything to get screen time. Yes, i call them fame whores because i do not see how any one in their right minds will agree to do a scene without careful consideration or at least establishing their career first.

You do not start your first screen debut by doing an open sex scene. I do not want to see your boobs or your ass, if i wanted to see some i would get naked in front of my mirror. One thing i have a huge problem with is the kind of women doing these scenes. Just because you are thin does not mean you body is attractive. And just because they say "all size is beautiful" does not mean you have to get naked on my screen. These women are just disgracing themselves by flaunting their, let me not say ugly, but not so attractive bodies on my screen. Yes, all sizes are beautiful, but you need to know your limit. Leave some to my imagination..PLEASE!
If producers want to make it look real, show them their bras being unbutton or maybe a little ass cheek. Let this producers stop this nonsense with "trying to bring their sexuality to life", stop jacking off, and leave the sex  scene to the viewers imagination. I want to see, For example, Majid Michel and Yvonne Nelson, get under that blanket and cover themselves. I want to imagine it myself, how he will hold and caress her. I want to imagine what he will look like naked. It makes me appreciate the scene more, instead of fastforwarding and rolling my eyes at the stupidity of recent film makers.

Now for the guys! I used to think Majid Michel was hot until i saw his ass. I was completely disgusted because i did not find it attractive nor necessary. It was like a moment of shock, i did not know what to say. All i could think was "I did not  imagine his ass would look like that. Eww." The other person i have a problem with is John Dumelo. If i see this man in another sex scene, i might just run mad. He is not that attractive to me and neither is his body. I do not see the need for him to always be naked. Truth is, i do not care how hot a man can be, i do not want to see it. If it was Ramsey Nouah, Desmond Elliot, Kalu Ikeagwu, or Mike Ezuruonye trying this nonsense, my respect for them will automatically drop. So, John Dumelo needs to throw this useless act out the window, get it together, and find other ways to further his career.

I am sick and tired of it. This is why i do not watch pure Ghanaian movie, It either has to be mixed ( Nolly and Ghana) or i have to see someone like Ajatey Anang, Yvonne Okoro, that can guarantee me that i am not watching soft porn. My rant is over, my blood is now following well!
So What do you think of the increasing popolarity of porn in our movies?

  1. It is disgusting, and unnecessary. There are so many better ways to depict a romantic scene or a scene leading to sex without showing all of it!! It is disgusting and I blame the director. Ayammah!!!!!
