About Us
My love, or obssession for Nollywood movies began from childhood. When the children would be sent out to rent movies from local shops, and we sat as a family watching, eating, drinking, and laughing. I can still remember my first film, which was Living in Bondage, the first Nigerian movie to be produced. I grew up with stars like Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekiende, Pete Edochie, Patience Ozokwor, Nkem Owoh, Emeka Ike, Ramsey noauh, Pat Attah, Nkiru Sylvanus, Sam Loco, John Okafor, Chiwetalu Agu, Aki and Paw-Paw, Stephanie Okereke, Stella Damasus, RMD, Muna Obiekwe, Chiege Aliesigwe, and all the other foundations of Nollywood. As the years progress, We noticed that the nollywood movies we love has begun to loose its morals and value. We meaning, My sister and I. It was not about entertainment anymore, it was more about making money. Anyone could write a script, anyone could act. It was not the same Nollywood, i knew and grew to love. My sister and i sat down one day to watch a Nollywood movie, My Baby Boy, and that is what pushed us over the edge. We could not believe such nonsense was produced and released in Nollywood. I still can not believe it and i will be forever scarred by that movie. We set out to let our view known on Nollywood movies and thus our website was born. We are not here to Condemn Nollywood, but to give constructive criticism by bringing our unbiased opinion. This is the Rave about Nollywood. Welcome and Enjoy!
